Theme Interviews

First Interview with my mom:

Me: When you were a teenager did you work?
Mom: No, but at ten I was working at this candystore, but not officially. It was like under the table.
Me: How old were you when you started working?
Mom: First Job...I was nineteen.
Me: Where did you work? How much did you get paid?
Mom: Gino's a fast-food restaurant. I think it was 3 something an hour.
Me: Did your parents have a hard time with you working? If so, why?
Mom: No, I was out on my own when I had this job. I also had my own place.
Me: Do you believe that your parents was jealous of you working your job?
Mom: My mom was to busy in her work that she didn't care what I was doing and my dad wasn't there.
Me: Did you buy expensive things like a new car and your parents being jealous?
Mom: No, my mom was never jealous of what I was doing.
Me: Do you believe that your parents didn't want you to work? If so why?
Mom: My parents wanted me to work. She thought that you were lazy if you didn't have a job.

Second Interview with my little brother:

Me: How old are you?
Gregg: Fifteen years old.
Me: Do you go to school? Do you work?
Gregg: Yes, I go to school and no I don't work.
Me: If so, where and how much do you get paid? If not, why don't you work?
Gregg: My parents want me to have a career not a position
Me: Do you believe that your parents don't want you to work? Why?
Gregg: I believe that my parents don't want me to work because they say I need a career not a job.
Me: Do you believe that your parents think that since you go to school, you don't have the time for work?
Gregg: My parents believe that education is the most important and it comes first. I do not have time for work.
Me: What do you think is actually the reasons for your parents not letting you work? Do you think that the reason is because they want you to keep your haed into school or because they think you are not ready?
Gregg: I believe that my parents think that I can't follow directions so, if I can't follow directions I can't gat a job.
